Dear Students and Parents/Guardians of Juniors and Seniors:

All students who wish to park their vehicle on campus during school hours must register theirvehicle in the Main Office to obtain a parking decal (21-22 Parking Registration Form & Student DriverRegulations). During summer break, we ask that you come to the Main Office between 8:00am to2:30pm to submit your completed registration form. The On-Campus Parking Registration Periodwill continue throughout summer break and during the 2021/2022 school year until all spaces areassigned and the student lot is at full capacity. Shared parking allows more students the option todrive to school and park in the student lot which has limited number of parking spaces. We thankyou for your cooperation and understanding. 

ALL “SHARED” REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THESAME TIME AND IN PERSON. PARTNERS MAY SUBMIT PAPER WORKFOR EACH OTHER.

NO REGISTRATIONS BY MAIL, EMAIL OR FAX WILL BE ACCEPTED.


Eligibility Requirements to Park On-Campus

Seniors who currently possess a driver’s license or who will be obtaining their driver’s licenseduring the summer or after the start of the school year will be eligible to apply for shared parkingproviding they submit a Parking Registration Form with a copy of a driver’s license or permit,current vehicle registration, insurance and a student ID.

Juniors who currently possess a driver’s license will be eligible to apply for a shared parking spacefollowing the same above-mentioned requirements as Seniors. Juniors without a driver’s licenseare NOT eligible to apply.


*Students with outstanding fines (books, technology, café, media center) will not be eligible until obligations are satisfied. 

Shared Parking Criteria 

Seniors with another senior (non-family member). 

Seniors with a sibling at IHHS (an additional non-family partner not required). 

Seniors who choose to pair with a junior who possess a driver’s license. 

Seniors who are enrolled in Option 2 or SLE or Wellness or Shared-Time Program/Eastwick (before the end of the 2021school year). Due to the limited number of parking spaces on-campus, this is the only single space accommodation available. 

Only if spaces are available – a junior with a driver’s license and another junior with a driver’s license. 

Only if spaces are available – a junior with driver’s license who has a sibling attending IHHS.


Notification of Parking Space #: Students will be informed prior to the start of the next school year.

Decal Pick-up: One (1) week prior to the start of school and/or after the school year begins, you are you to come to the Main Office during your lunch period, Study Hall, Senior Commons period, or after school to pick-up your parking decal. The decal must be affixed to the driver’s door window in the lower right corner. If your parking permit/decal is lost or stolen, you must report it to the Main Office and purchase a replacement for $5.00. Non-registered vehicles and/or vehicles parked on school grounds without a decal WILL be subject to enforcement and/or tow by the Oakland Police Department. 

Notification to the Main Office must be made for any long-term change in vehicle other than the one declared on the Parking Registration Form. Shared parking spaces will be in effect on the first day of school.
